KARAVAN / Revue of Contemporary

KARAVAN / Art Because of the fact, that the region is still very badly known, and more, very often representation of the region is caricatured - the project was born.

The contributors and collaborators for the REVUE project could be as the professionals from South Caucasus, but as well from the neighbouring countries – all ex-Soviet repoublics, Black Sea bassein countires, Turkey etc.

The real gallery of images, Karavan will be the complementary of the web site, the form on the paper and CD, composing with implicit manner the reflection on the internet uniting the text and image.
Karavan is a project of an artistic revue for witnessing the contemporary creation in the East Europe and countries of South Caucasus. It is though to make a demand to the local actors of artistique contribution to display the wide spectrum of the creation and provoke the further production.

On the merge of the revue and artistic book, Karavan will be presented as a photographic album of the images with an audio CD. On each page it would be written the timing, which permits to listener to hear the comments in relation with visual material. The listener/hearer could bring himself to the wished channel corresponding to the different language: English, Polish, Azeri, French, and Georgian…

The edition of the revue will be produced twice a year and is to be distributed on the international level giving the privilege to the artistic & cultural places: art stores, museums, Universities, Art Academies, Art Centres etc. In completely contemporary tune Karavan could juxtapose the very diverse images permitting to the artists represent their art works exterior of their countries.
